Swedish: (Classic western style) the most common massage treatment in the United States today, is typically performed with the client nude (Optional/or undressed to your level of comfort.) under a sheet. The therapist is trained in proper draping techniques so that only the area being worked on is exposed, leaving the rest of the body properly covered.
Shiatsu: (Eastern Style) this style is performed with finger pressure through the client’s clothing. No oils or creams are used. The elbow and forearm can be utilized as needed.
Sports therapy: When considered necessary, sports specific work light oils are used with style goal is to get you full range of motion/function with no pain.
Trigger Point therapy: A trigger point is an area of hyperirritability: the pain that arises in a trigger point is also felt at a distance (referral pattern) Sensory and motor phenomena, such as pain, tenderness, spasm, numbness, and tingling are felt at the referral area. These points are painful to the touch and are associated with dysfunctional neurological reflex arcs. Deactivating these trigger points by active stretching and direct pressure reduces the pain and improves the function of the areas involved.
Letha Yoga: Means partner-assisted yoga, this is joint mobilization and structural reeducation that focuses on major joints: jaw, neck, spine, shoulders, elbows wrist and fingers, hips, knees, ankles and toes.
